Prunus ‘Fugenzo’

Prunus ‘Fugenzo’ è un albero dalla chioma ampia end espansa che può arrivare a 10 m di altezza. I fiori sono doppi, all’inizio rosa, diventano poi bianchi. Fioriscono al termine di lunghi steli alla fine di aprile, a grappoli, lungo tutta la lunghezza del ramo. Le foglie spuntano insieme ai fiori e sono inizialmente di colore verde-bronzo. Maturando virano al verde brillante. I colori autunnali sono arancio scuro-ramati.

Prunus ‘Fugenzo’ forms a flat-topped wide-spreading tree to 10m. The flowers are double, pale pink to start with, becoming white with age. They are borne on long stalks in late April and hang in loose bunches or corymbs, closely packed along the branch. The early leaves, which emerge with the flowers, are a bronze-green colour, becoming bright green as they mature. The autumn colours consist of deep oranges and coppers.
