Fagus sylvatica “Aspleniifolia” è un albero di medie dimensioni, con forma piramidale quando giovane, sviluppa poi una chioma ampia quando raggiunge la maturità. Come indicato dal nome, le foglie a forma allungata hanno una forma che ricorda quella della felce. Per tutta la stagione estiva il fogliame è di colore verde intenso, che tende al giallo verso la stagione autunnale. E’ consigliato per un terreno ben drenato.

It is a stunning specimen and the perfect choice for a parkland or feature tree.As indicated by its common name, the long, narrow foliage is deeply cut, soft and fern like. Throughout the summer, it is a dark glossy green turning a sumptuous golden yellow in autumn.This tree will grow in most well drained soil conditions except very heavy clay. Under planting is not recommended as it develops a shallow root system.
