Malus ‘Ormiston Roy’ è un melo deciduo dal portamento eretto che con gli anni tende ad allargarsi nella chioma. In primavera si riempie di fiori bianchi seguiti, in autunno, da frutti gialli e arancio, che resistono fino al primo inverno. Malus ‘Ormiston Roy’ is an upright deciduous crabapple tree that becomes broadly spreading in its canopy with age. ‘Ormiston Roy’ boasts white flowers in spring followed by orange and yellow fruits by autumn. It has green oval leaves that emerge as the rose-red (then changing to light pink) flower buds open in mid-spring. In autumn the leaves turn golden and mimic the color of the small orange-blushed yellow fruits that are persistent into early winter.
