Osmanthus x fortunei aquifolium

Osmanthus x fortunei aquifolium è un arbusto eretto, robusto, o alberello, con foglie verde scuro, da ovali ad ovate, coriacee, lucide, lunghe fino a 10cm, con margini spinosi, ma senza spine verso gli apici delle piante mature. Da fine estate all’autunno sbocciano in mazzetti ascellari, fiori bianchi tubulari, molto profumati, con lobi larghi fino a 1cm. Raramente produce frutti. Molto adatta a fare siepi.

Osmanthus x fortunei aquifolium is an upright hardy shrub or small tree, with dark green, leathery, glossy, ovate leaves, 10 cm long, with serrated margins, but without spines towards the apices of old plants. White tube-shapes flowers, from late summer to autumn, rarely followed by fruits. Suitable for hedges.
